Gastronomic Adventures: The Best Luxury Hotel Dining Experiences

Luxury means different things for different clients, and Jetset Journeys prides itself on customizing experiences that fit each client’s luxurious style. One experience that is important to all of our clients is the dining experience!

Luxury travel encompasses far more than just where you stay. It’s about how every moment immerses you in a world of indulgence, including the dining experience. Picture waking up to a Michelin-starred breakfast overlooking the Amalfi coast or savoring a private dinner under the stars in Paris. The best luxury hotels don’t just serve food. They create culinary memories that remain long after you’ve checked out.

One of the best parts about luxury travel is discovering the unique flavors that define a destination. Whether you're a fan of innovative gastronomy, authentic local cuisine, or once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences, these world-class hotels set the standard for luxury dining.

My favorite luxury hotel dining experience…

The standout dish for me was the Blue Lobster with Pan Perduto and Broccoli. The lobster was so fresh and perfectly cooked.  For the finale, I ordered pan perduto—a Tuscan take on bread pudding—it was both refined and comforting. Every bite told a story of the region, a beautiful balance between tradition and innovation.

What made the experience even more special was how personal the dining experience felt. The staff’s warmth and passion for Tuscan cuisine shone through in every detail, from their thoughtful wine recommendations to their stories about the ingredients sourced from their organic garden. Sitting there, sipping on a glass of Brunello di Montalcino from their estate’s vineyard, I couldn’t help but feel completely immersed in the magic of Tuscany.

Dining at Campo del Drago wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience that captured the soul of Italy. Even now, when I think back to that evening, I can almost taste the flavors and feel the gentle breeze of that perfect Tuscan night.

Here is one of our curated lists of fine dining in luxurious hotels around the world:

Few places capture the romance of fine dining quite like L’Espadon at The Ritz Paris. This two-Michelin-starred restaurant, named after the swordfish, offers a poetic interpretation of French cuisine. Expect dishes that blend tradition with modern artistry, from delicate foie gras creations to intricate seafood delicacies. For the ultimate indulgence, opt for the chef’s tasting menu, paired with rare vintage wines from the hotel’s legendary cellar.

At the iconic Burj Al Arab, dining reaches new heights. Al Mahara, the hotel’s famous underwater-themed restaurant, places guests in an immersive marine setting, complete with a towering aquarium centerpiece. Here, seafood takes center stage, with dishes like caviar-topped oysters and buttery lobster thermidor served in opulent surroundings.

Bali’s serene beauty meets refined gastronomy at Kayuputi, the beachfront fine dining gem at The St. Regis Bali Resort. Overlooking the Indian Ocean, the restaurant serves Asian-inspired cuisine with fresh, locally sourced seafood and premium Wagyu beef. Sunset champagne and an impressive wine list really elevate the experience.

No luxury dining list would be complete without including The Palm Court at The Plaza Hotel. Famous for its legendary afternoon tea, this New York institution serves up an experience straight out of a storybook. Think delicate finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream, and a selection of the world’s finest teas, all enjoyed under a stunning stained-glass dome.

For a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience, Soneva Fushi’s Fresh in the Garden offers treetop dining amidst the Maldivian jungle. Suspended above an organic garden, the open-air restaurant serves creative, plant-based dishes using ingredients harvested just steps away. The setting couldn’t be more magical with a rope bridge leading you to a dining deck, where you’ll enjoy dishes bursting with tropical flavors.

Set against the backdrop of Lake Como’s glistening waters, La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi is a must-visit for lovers of Italian gastronomy. Named after the father of modern Italian cuisine, this lakeside restaurant serves signature dishes like saffron risotto with edible gold leaf, paired with fine Italian wines.

At Singita Lebombo Lodge, dining is an adventure in itself. The lodge’s Boma Dinner offers a traditional South African dining experience, where guests feast under the stars, surrounded by the untamed wilderness. Expect fire-roasted meats, flavorful stews, and a celebration of African heritage and flavors.

For those who love British refinement, The Goring’s Dining Room offers an exquisite take on classic English cuisine. The hotel, famously favored by the British royal family, serves elegant dishes like lobster omelet with truffle and traditional roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Afternoon tea here is also a must.

Topping the list is Le Cinq, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant at Four Seasons George V in Paris. With its chandeliers, gold detailing, and impeccable service, dining here feels like stepping into a Parisian fairytale. The seasonal tasting menus showcase the height of French gastronomy, featuring dishes crafted with the finest ingredients and artistic precision.
